iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) is a global synthetic biology competition where teams design and build genetic systems to solve real world problems and present their work at the International Jamboree in Paris, France. Denmark High School’s iGEM team gives students the opportunity to conduct college-level research in synthetic biology, mathematical modeling, engineering, and website design. Team members also have the opportunity to develop hands-on lab skills, leadership experience, and strong communication abilities.
This is a challenging, high-commitment program that prepares students for future STEM careers and offers an unforgettable experience representing Denmark High School on a global stage.
