DISTRICT NEWS
We are currently awaiting required state updates regarding Dual Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year. Students and families may begin independently researching college Dual Enrollment
admissions requirements. We also encourage attendance at the FCS Dual Enrollment Information Night on January 12 at Focal to learn more about program expectations and opportunities.
Until we receive this information, DHS counselors cannot advise, approve, or assist with Dual Enrollment planning or course selection.
Additional school-based guidance will be provided once additional information is received from the state.
WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH DUAL ENROLLMENT FUNDING AND THE APPLICATION TIMELINE?
- The state is reviewing possible changes to Dual Enrollment funding.
- The funding application will NOT open on February 1 as in previous years.
- A confirmed application date is not yet available; this will depend on the outcome of the 2026 legislative session (January–March).
- Once the state releases updated guidance, schools will immediately share revised program requirements and timelines.
